What have you learned from audience feedback? Pre production audience research:  My chosen target audience was from ages 16-19, so when I sent out this survey to people in that age range, the results were very important to me when it came to my production and planning Below are some of the results that had the biggest effect on what I aimed to achieve from my video                                                        The results in this question was very important when it came to deciding what type of music video I wanted to create, as it was direct answers from the demographic of my target audience about what they preferred.  Performance or a mixture between the two was the thing was the most votes. This is what caused me to create a mainly performance video with elements of narrative included, as a concept video for my chosen genre doesn't represent the stereotypes of what people expect from those videos.  This audience research was important to me as it me

 How effective is the combination of your main product & ancillary texts?  How these 3 products link?  Video Effect on the audience?  The main thing I was aiming for the audience to understand from these 3 products was the strong way they all linked together, allowing the artist's image to carry through into the music video as well. From the answers above from my audience research I think it is clear that they did feel the effect of how the artist was representing his genre and his image throughout. From the video above, I have shown how the video also links to this, and from my research and questionnaire of the video, the audience can see this. In the questionnaire 80% said there was a strong representation and 75% said there was enough performance scenes, which involved the key prop of a guitar. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?  General conventions of folk/acoustic music videos:  Strong representation of the artist: In many videos of this genre, the audiences perception and relationship with the artist is crucial. This is important as the songs tend to include personal themes, so the audience feels a stronger connection to these songs if they can identify with the artist. Common ways of achieving this include: Close ups of the artists face & direct address to the camera Performance shots so viewers see who the vocals are coming from The representation of a particular style throughout the video Direct address to audience  Examples from professional videos of this genre Performance shot in mumford and sons video  A specific style of clothing kept throughout the video giving a representation of genre Performance and direct address

Props needed:  Guitar - needed in all locations apart from the car scenes and when actor is walking into the river. In each other location there is mostly performance shots so the guitar is needed for all of these.  Music box - this is used for the end verse, to amplify lyrics directly.  Pen - used when creating a link with the lyrics of 'write it on your skin'  Costumes:  Angus - stays in the same costume throughout. The necklace appears in certain shots but not all of them. This is the idea in the artist development of it sometimes being shown, which is something that fans keep an eye out for. This is a link to the industry as they are building up an artists image and causing fans to watch someone they feel they know.  Frankie - wears a plain t shirt in all shots of him. The hats shown in the costume planning are needed for his shots. These costumes are only needed at the Streatley Hill location.  Shooting in the beginning of Autumn works w
