Digipak planning & final
Unedited images for Digipak
Potential images for front cover:
I have chosen to use the left hand image for my front cover. This is because I feel the close up camera angel of the artists face is better suited as a front cover as the profile shot gives a clear representation of his image. This close up also appeals to audience as there is a feeling of knowing the artist from his direct address to the camera.
Drafts for front cover in colour & practicing layering images in colour. |
This is my final front cover. I have chosen to keep it in colour instead of black and white as it much better represents my artist as someone who is happy and an open book to his fans, whereas I feel the black and white filter give the effect of someone who is more ambiguous. I have chosen to keep the tone of orange as his name and the fade white writing as the album name. This orange shade gives the effect of warmth I wanted on the colour and is also the same shade as colours in the trousers he wears throughout the video.
This chosen font is one I will use throughout as the boldness of it makes it one of the first thing that leaps out of the page to the audience. Therefore even if other less important text is in a more subtle font, I think it is important to keep the artists' name bold as it makes a lasting impression.
Potential images for inside cover:
This is my final image for the inside cover. I have slightly adjusted the colour, contrast and saturation of the image to bring out the colours and sun rays more for the final image.
Potential images for disk:
This is the final image selected for my CD disk. I have chosen this image as it looks much better with both hands and arms being included in the image instead of being cut of like in the other.
Potential image for back cover:
I also need to add more information about the industry and maybe change the positioning to somewhere less obstructive.
